March 22, 2008 We set out for Seattle, leaving Missoula, MT at 7:30 a.m. We were making good time, until, at 1:30 p.m., at Snoqualmie Pass, about an hour from Seattle, they closed the Pass for avalanche check. We had arrived at 1:35, just five minutes earlier, and we would have been able to get through.
Well, we were stuck for three hours! We walked, blocked traffic, ate, ate some more. Then, at 4:30 they opened one lane of traffic for us to go through. We reached Seattle at approximately 6:30 p.m.
We checked into our hotel room, walked downtown and ate seafood at Anthony's, right on the water.
